Warm greetings from NSW Floral Art Association members and the Committee of Flora Australis to Floral Artists around Australia and the World.

Many of us here in Australia missed catching up with friends from around the world of Floral Art, due to the unforeseen cancellation of the triennial World Association of Flower Arrangers Show which was to be held in Pakistan in 2008. We therefore invite our friends to visit us and take a trip Down Under to the sunny climate of Australia to meet many other International delegates who have already indicated that they will be coming to Flora Australis. The show will be held on the last weekend of winter coming into the warm Spring weather.

The First International Floral Extravaganza to be held in Australia will be at the Sydney Olympic Park, one of the largest and best known venues in Australia and home of the 2000 Olympic Games. The showground pavilions are now used for many International Events and is the venue for the Sydney Royal Easter Show.  

Registration will give entry to the show for three days, which includes the Flora Australis event, daily demonstrations, and many ABC Garden Expo events.  

We welcome you to come and enjoy the diversity and beauty of our stunning indigenous flora, including the
New South Wales state floral emblem the Waratah, as well as other Australian flowers such as Banksias, Anigozanthos, Doryanthes and Xanthorrhoea.

Demonstrations by National and International Tutors will be held daily, with German Master Florist Gregor Lersch, Greg Block, Richard Go, Mark Pampling, Irene Brockwell and Colin Straub all holding workshops as well. These will be educational, inspiring and above all, a lot of  fun.

The Show Schedule has many creative and diverse categories to inspire you and we hope it will bring together many Floral Artists from around the world showcasing traditional and contemporary design trends and techniques.

Our workshops will be exciting and educational with the Master of Floral Design Mr. Gregor Lersch from Germany as our Guest Designer and Demonstrator, as well as many other International and National Demonstrators holding workshops during the show.

We invite you to join us for our Gala Dinner, Harbour Dinner Cruise and many other city and country sight seeing tours.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful City of Sydney, your presence and participation will make our show a great success and a memorable event.
